I keep a bookcase of materials and books to read at all times. Through the interactive process of reading, I can go to other settings, learn about other people, and see what other places are like. I can be entertained or learn new facts.

I've enjoyed living in and visiting many different areas. It's interesting to see what makes one city, town, or country different from another. Of course, the people in various places help create plots for stories. A writer puts their own twist to each of these characters, settings, and situations.
I graduated from Tift College. At Georgia State University I did graduate work. Other courses were taken through Fulton County Board of Education, two community colleges, and the Institute of Children's Literature. For years I taught full-time in Fulton County as an elementary school teacher. During these years, I created poems and stories for adults and children to enjoy. For a year, I helped with a writer's group in my hometown. I also worked with children's choirs and in Vacation Bible School.
Now I write, read, and spend time with my family and dog. My mischievous dog becomes a character in one of my children's books. Can you guess which book?
